It is hard to argue with the notion that technological change has become key within military history. From the 19th century's railroads and rifles to modern systems of information management and smart weaponry, technology continues to change the face of battle. However, questions remain. Is technology a master or servant? Are there limits to its usefulness? Does it alter the nature of war, or is war based on timeless, unchanging principles? These are a few of the themes explored in this series.
